Opening with beautifully smooth vanillas and new French oaks on the nose, this wine follows up the delicate buttery front to mid palate entry with a robust and surprisingly zesty grapefruit, nectarine and jasmine flavor profile. With a medium length, this wine is ideal for pork, cheese and fish dishes. Big enough to handle spicy food yet easily enjoyed as a glass based on its own merit. Grown and harvested early in the picking season from our East Coast Brewery Vineyard, the ocean facing naturally formed amphitheater creates a wonderful grape which just perfect for this moreish indulgent drop.
Iron House Vineyards
Here at the little brewery/vineyard/distillery by the sea, we carefully tend each vine to create our gorgeous Tasmanian wines with an authentic sense of place. At Iron House we put all of our love into the land. In the early years we focused on vineyard development and landscaping with an ethical outlook to grow a healthy, sustainable crop every year. Nestled under the watchful gaze of St. Patrick's Head State Reserve and mere meters from the Tasman Ocean, we're ideally situated to grow many different varieties of grape. Graced with plentiful sun, the cleanest air and the freshest water, our vines have thrived in the 10yrs they have been developing/growing, producing a veritable microcosm of flavors.
