What an interesting varietal for Tasmania and the great potential it has as exhibited in this bottle. This La Villa Savagnin displays wonderfully fragrant floral notes with some savoury-like herbal aromas complexing in the background. The palate displays restrained honeysuckle like flavours similar to Marsanne with a great natural acid back bone to balance this wine perfectly. This wine is beautifully textured and is light to medium bodied in weight. Enjoy with pan seared trevalla or whiting fillets and a nice green salad with a squeeze of lemon on it to tie the two together.
