Mid garnet in colour. Definitive Coal River Valley brown spice notes of cinemon and clove leap out in the first pour of this wine into the glass. It’s a generous bouquet packed full of ripe dark cherry and plum aromas that meld beautifully with the spice notes. The palate is silky with the rich fruits carrying all the way through the palate to the back. Medium to full bodied in style with an underlying hint of elegance, the fruit, acidity and weight are all nicely balanced.

Back Paddock Vineyard
Back Paddock Vineyard is located approximately 40km North of Hobart CBD and is also the northernmost vineyard of the famed Coal River Valley. A family run enterprise, owned and operated by husband and wife team James and Vanessa Bresnehan, Back Paddock Vineyard started life mainly selling some of their high quality fruit to one of Australia's most prestigious wine companies. Specialising in growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, of which small parcels are made into these 100% Estate grown, the focus for both James and Vanessa is all about quality and now producing small batches of wine under their own label. Plans are afoot to plant two hectares of vines this coming Spring to add to their existing five hectares under vine.
