Dark cherry, hints of Satsuma plum and brown spices greet the nose. The Pinot Noir fruit in this wine is amazing; complex yet bright and fun. Medium to full bodied, the fruit is integrated with the French oak to present an involving and lengthy finish. Whist a great match to Toulouse sausage, enjoy this Pinot with BBQ Venison or Rabbit. And it will do ten years in the cellar too!
Coal River Valley
George Drew is son of famed Coal River Valley winemaker Robert Drew; George's forebares farmed around the Tea Tree area in the Coal River Valley for over 100 years. Sourcing fruit from the family vineyard that is sited on a gentle sloping property down towards the Merrieworth Rivulet in Tea Tree, George has created a lovely range of wines that represent his vision of fresh, vibrant and most importantly regionality. Being hands on just like his father, George sees his future staying true to his roots by making sure each of his wines are enjoyable straight away but will always reward cellaring; a statement of quality indeed!
