Boomer Creek Vineyard is a single site 3 hectare block with the first plantings taking place in 2012 and the remainder followed in 2013. The site is set on a easterly facing slope rolling down hill towards the ocean; it overlooks Schouten Island and the Little Swanport estuary. All the fruit that goes into the Boomer Creek label is 100% picked from our single site estate vineyard. Our approach is to make wine making easy by producing the highest quality fruit we can; that it reflects the unique characteristics of the terroir in each variety of our cool climate wines. Our Pinot Noir has spent nine months maturing in French oak. It presents rich plum and cinnamon notes in the bouquet. The palate possesses an elegant and supportive tannin structure that highlights the lovely varietal dark cherry and savoury fruits.
