A light and bright rose / salmon in colour. The wine’s aromas are brimming with fresh strawberries and cherries; it’s opulent. The clean, beautiful fruits are very flavoursome and natural acidity drives theses flavours through the mouth to create a lovely balanced and length feel. Enjoy with a thick fillet of oven roasted Tasmanian Salmon or Ocean Trout.
Maclean Bay Wines
Maclean Bay Wines began as a discussion between two friends who had the same two passions; wine and the east coast of Tasmania. Three years ago this discussion became a reality and what started as a hobby has now propelled into a commercial business. Established by Scott Williams and Simon Will they hope to be able to create some of Tasmania’s finest wine with a particular focus on Pinot Noir. In 2014 they teamed up with American Nicholas Gerber who also shares a passion for great wine and the east coast of Tasmania. Scott Williams has over 15 years in the horticulture industry. Scott has lived in the Bicheno area for 8 years. Scott is passionate about red wine and coupled with his horticultural knowledge hopes to grow the best pinot grapes in Tasmania! Simon Will has worked as a Project Manager in the Construction and Development Industry for over 7 years. Also a keen red wine drinker, Simon spent many a weekend and summer holidays at Bicheno in the family shack. Simon hopes to assist in the East Coast of Tasmania being consistently recognised as one of the great wine growing regions of Australia. We invite you to join us to experience our two great passions; great wine and the beautiful east coast of Tasmania.
