The Laurel Bank Sauvignon Blanc story is normally one of aromatic fruits supported by a textural backbone. A very light exposure to oak and stirring of yeast lees provide texture in most years. This wine opens with lychee and gooseberry aromatics. Overt tropical fruit flavours are right up front on first taste; as the palate unfurls, a mix of lime, grapefruit, passionfruit and lychee fruits follow. The palate has great length, texture and well-integrated acid for a clean tingly finish.
